Romantic Catawba Island Club Wedding | Feature Film | Nina + Jaymes

I have to say this feature film is probably one of the most romantic films I’ve made to date! Nina and Jaymes were married at the Catawba Island Club on a rainy day. They may have had to change some plans to work with the rain, but the day still turned out beautifully. We personally loved that they opted to to do short interviews instead of writing each other letters. It was such a sweet and candid moment!

From Nina and Jaymes:

How do you describe your wedding day to people when they ask how it was?

Incredibly romantic, soft & intimate. It was a rainy, dreary day which some would be bummed about... but the weather really turned the mood of the day into such a sultry, romantic vibe. The weather actually elevated the experience when I thought it would hinder it. The day was truly a definition of "true love" from all corners: from guests, from vendors, from our pastor, from each other - it was amazing.

What was your favorite part of the wedding day?

For the bride - first look with my dad. It was incredibly special and intimate and I will never, ever forget it. I would recommend it to any bride, even if you are doing a first look with the groom. For the groom - Seeing Nina walk down the aisle & being among all of our family and friends. Just having everyone together in one place, it was amazing.

Were there any funny memories you still laugh about from the day?

One of our groomsman (Flo) ripped the seat of his pants doing a "drop it like its hot" move late in the evening - it was hilarious and we still laugh about it to this day. You the best, Flo!

Do you have any advice for people who may be planning their wedding now?

Everyone says "take it all in and enjoy the day" - I felt like we did that. I felt like the day wasn't short and felt somewhat long, ,in a good way. I tried not to think of the next step in the day and focused on the step I was in and savored it. The day felt so rich and full because of that.
